Summer is definitely here and the time has come when many choose basking in the sun to sunbathe; becoming that perfect shade of brown. Hence why tanning has become so addictive. Personally, I am even guilty with my inconsistency of applying sunscreen. But, because we live in a society that is driven on appearance-defining beauty, so many people gamble with damaging the skin because of excessive UV ray exposure. How many of you knew that when your skin tans, it is your skin's way of raising a 'red flag'. It is attempting to alert us of possible skin damage. When we tan our skin increases the production of melanin in an attempt to protect the skin from further damage.
Believe me, I know the struggle of fighting with the idea 'to tan/ not to tan' but remember its beautifully flawed. If you truly are an advocate of being an ageless beauty protect your skin at all costs and take the proper precautions to protect yourself from premature aging influences and other skin conditions.
